Problems with my M9
« on: June 15, 2005, 10:53:19 PM »
Q1. When I shoot my M9, occasionally if its pointed downward the next round will fall out of the barrel.

Possible answer: Does it need to be lubed more?

Q2. Sometimes when I fill a mag with gas, it'll run out of gas before half the BB's are gone. But it doesn't happen all the time. But it'll still happen after I've made sure the gas chamber is completly full.

        Possible answer:...

Please help me out. I want to make sure my gun is in good condition before the Pistols Only game on Saturday.

Thanks.

Ok, if you half pull the trigger it will put a round in the chamber might be your 1st prob.

2. Try replacing/lubing your orings.

No, it won't. Possibly double cocking it? The fixed hopup might be screwed, less lube might help. Make sure your mags aren't leaking, and make sure you are filling it completely (a few seconds). I was having the same problem, and I think it was becuase I was firing too many rounds in rapid succession, and it causes the gas to do funny shit.

I think that only works on NBBs.
Anyways, I have no idea about the barrel prob, but about the gun not finishing off a mag...you might be loosing alot of gas when you fill. Make sure none of it is spewing out when charging. Also, check to see if your o-rings are in good shape and lubed properly. That outta fix you good, If not, get an airsoft techy to give you a helping hand.

Q2: I have this problem too, mine is full metal, I guess it takes more power? I just use red gas and it works fine...

TOP/green gas or propane should be powerful enough, shouldn't it?  Just as long as it's not Japanese (134a).

I had that problem with the new one I bought, you need to gas it for two seconds, remove the can, then repeat a couple of times, then its holds enough for two full mags of BB's.

I just started using red gas and Dusty. Said to use a 50/50 red and green mix just to prolong the life of the hammer.

Yeah, he told me the same. But I haven't gotten any red gas lately.

Took it apart again. Serviced it all up real nice and it's working better. Didn't think it would need to be lubed and cleaned that often though. Course it is new, so maybe it just needs to be broken in.

Dusty: YOu make me laugh soooo hard sometimes man. You of all people should know the composure of GG and RG is completely different and that they are pressurized at two different levels. Mix the two, you will have some wierd ass shots. I have done it, not a good idea.
