I echo what Paco said.  More details are necessary.

Why would the USMC sponsor a game? I mean I take it you mean like recruiters and stuff... people that want to get their foot in the door or potential recruits or something.

I know for sure they would be willing to come out to a game and talk to people, and I'm sure most of them would be more than willing to play (if you lent them a gun). Still I don't see them wanting to be responsible for hosting a sports event they almost certianly know nothing about (none of my recruiters knew what airsoft was). Combined with the legal responsibilities that they would have to assume and the cost of sponsoring a game, I'm sure that the high command would give it a no-go.

If you are going to invite military out to play, make sure and get in touch with all the guys that are on RA too. I know that there are now like 5 guys on RA at my recruiting station (metrocenter).

Funny thing is, at one time all the recruiters in the office had airsoft guns.  Some sold there and the alst NCOIC that had a gun moved to tucson and sold his stuff.

Im sure its has more to do with recruiting, but they also enjoy playing.  Some of you might remember when i brought them to some of the games.

I wouldn't mind a chance to shoot at some Marines again.  They'll be easy targets.  ;)

Interesting...  I'd be curios as to what the USMC "sponsorship" would include.  A base?  A CQB facility?  Or is it just a fancy way of saying that they will have a USMC recruiter there with shirts, DVD's and fliers to give away?

My neighbor (renter) is a USMC recruiter.  I've spoken to him a few times...  they get a LOT of pressure...  not a job I'd want.

Im sure thats what they mean, but at the same time it would be alot of fun.  I've got PT today so ill try and get as much info as possible.

We would be doing a disservice to our young by having actual military recruiters at airsoft games trying to get our kids to enlist without at least having folks present providing alternate perspectives.

Believe me lead... the recruiters get in contact with kids at school, over the phone, email, or just stop them in the street. Kids aren't going to get too much more alone time with the recruiters then they have already had/ will have, and it shouldn't be that big of a deal since minors NEED to have their parents sign off on their contract anyways. I think as long as the event clearly advertises itself as sponsored by the USMC, there should be no kids/ parents that get "tricked" into getting badgered by recruiters.
