quick question
« on: June 20, 2006, 06:05:12 PM »
So I just ordered a weesatch with a bunch of different pouches and such, and I was wondering if this camelbak can attach to the back of the vest using the MOLLE system.

It will but its not a plug and play sort of thing. I have a wee and found that a Camelbak storm or Source Bladder in a seperate hydration carrier was the way to go. I went through the same thing your going through.

I went with this

But this looks more like what you want.

That thing is designed to mount to molle crap, no its not cheap but you get what you pay for.

No, it wont. There is no mounting webbing on the inside of the camelback carrier to attach it with the molle system. You can however route the upper loops through pals colums and mount it using those, or use paracord to dock it to a molle back panel. But either way you will have to "rig" it. Go with a storm or simple bladder inside of a mountable hydration pouch. Such as this one from TT.

One more quick question, I have heard that it is a good idea to put mock armour plates in weesatches because they will loose shape from use. Is this true? should I put plates in it?

Having both owned a Weesatch and a Wasatch, I wouldn't say so. I might be wrong, but I dunno. They'd give it more rigidity and probably make it ride better though.

I dont know about it "loosing shape" but it does help it to hold its shape while you wear it, it also helps to balance it out .. and yes I use "replica" plates in mine. This is where I got mine $33 for both front and back
