I had this problem occur in a G36k, because the trigger contacts were jammed together.  This may be his problem, but I have never worked on a SCAR, nor have I had this problem with any V2 gearbox so I'm not 100% sure this is the problem.

If it is, it will require taking the whole gearbox apart, which, from what I've heard about the SCAR's take down, isn't the most pleasant of tasks.

Unless it suddenly starts working again, I suggest he take it to someone who is an experienced airsmith who can help him out, specifically someone who knows how to take a SCAR apart as they are unique in their take down, but the gearbox is very similar to a CA M15 CQB.

Im too busy on monday, but I can get it there tommarrow with my friend whos got a broken VSR-10. FYI I have just payed $10 and a $25 gift card to buy it off of him. He didnt want to have to pay to fix it since he likes his VSR-10 better. I live near the one on bell and will take it there. Who should I ask for if you arent there?

The hot wire on the gearbox got stripped and grounded to the gearbox.. Check the wiring, 99.9% of those problems are exactly that. Stripped/grounded wires.

I\'ve touched that gun with my hand which had touched my penis. I hope you did not touch your mouth after touching that gun. That would mean your had put part of my penis in your mouth.

WTF?  An AEG uses a DC connection, power source to load; positive to negative.  If you ground a wire in a DC electrical circuit, you cause a massive amount of resistance... it does not close the connection.  There is no "hot wire".

If your gun fires when you are not pulling the trigger, that means the connection is being constantly closed, and your trigger contacts are stuck together somehow.  It really is that simple.  This is usually caused by the trigger contact spring (the spring that pulls the contacts apart when you let go of the trigger) is broken or disconnected.  Sometimes trigger contacts can also become stuck or fused together.

You can bring it to APD, or you could bring it to Gearbox Airsoft and I can look at it for you.  Either way, you'll have to get the gearbox open to fix it.  Good luck.

sorry for the late reply. I haven't been able to use the computer forever. It crashed and i couldn't remember my password. I figured out that my friend got completly screwed over when he bought it. they said it was a CA but turns out it was a JG. I have given up on it a long time ago.

Hell the Tappet plate on my CA SCAR broke.  I know its a ver. 2 gearbox but I've been told that its not the same tappet plate. Is there any truth to this???
