KWA M4a1
« on: August 19, 2008, 05:12:16 PM »
Im thinking about getting a KWA M4a1, If you guys remember me then yes, i have grown out of my Echo 1 stage. I have heard very good reviews, i just want to know a few things about it first.

1)Is it easy to maintain, cleaning and what not
2)If iwere to get the 400 fps gun, would i be able to play at Fort Adobe APD, or would it be too much?
3)What magazines are compatible with it? I heard you had to sand down some mags like Echo 1s

I can answer #2.  You can take a gun that shoots 400 to an APD game...  Or did you want to know if the gun shoots harder than 400?

1.)  Is it easy to clean? It's like every other armalite out there sans the Systema PTW and the ICS M4.  Is it easy to keep clean?  Pop a body pin, slide the top off run a swab down the barrel be done with it.  Is it easy to upgrade?  Meh it can be.  V2 gearboxes are not that difficult.  I consider regreasing the internals part of maintenance and the cleaning proceedure post 50k rounds.

2.)  Beats me, havent been in AZ in well over 9 months.  Chances are if you look around they have their rules posted somewhere either here on the forums, on their webpage or SOMEWHERE on the internet :)

3.)  It's a TM Compatable gun.  Pick your poison.  Choose a quality mag and you wont have problems with fitment.  Some may be tight at first but they will eventually work in.  I personally am a big fan of TM Standards.  Granted I'm not sure what you are into.

Then yes, if it shoots 400 you can use it in the APD Fort Adobe games.
