Anyone up for a Vietnam Milsim?
« on: July 24, 2011, 04:20:59 PM »
I figured I would just ask you guys if you would want to do a Vietnam Milsim.  I know of a great AO south of the renaissance festival.  It is a jungle-like oasis that would be perfect for a 'Nam Milsim.  Just let me know what you think!

Would it be actual Nam milsim? Like real deal Nam gear and replicas? Or just a Nam terrain?

It all depends on how many people are interested, and what gear they have.  I would like for it to be as close to Nam as possible, including guns, outfits, tactics, and so on.

I hope this doesn't end up being a dudes with M16s vs dudes with AKs game. I know there used to be a few players that were really hardcore into Vietnam period themed airsoft, but it looks like they aren't as active anymore. I still have my old ALICE gear, but I'd rather use my chest rig that's much much more ergonomic. (I really hate ALICE clips)

Truth be told, this is way too niche to pull off the way you want it. Legit Vietnam milsim would mean you'd need guys with period appropriate uniforms as well as weapons. I've seen it happen, just not here.
