Nice!  I'm getting some.  The bb release is great too, and I wish the TMs had them.

Thanks for the writeup.

They are a tight fit in the ICS M4. They need a little tap to insert them and will not drop free. They drop right out to the TM and the CA (really well out of the CA).

Were you using these mags at SASCO?  If so, how well did they work[?]

They worked well. Took a little getting used to. I had a hicap and two G&P's as backup. Would be a lot better if more people were using them.

They are still working great. Never had a jam.

The main problem with them is that so few people use them. It sucks to have to reload realistically when you are pinned down by someone with a hicap.

edit: I also don't normally let them drop free cause I don't want to loose them. I think they are best suited to CQB where you are less likely to need tons of ammo and you can easily find anything you drop.

I believe the circle on the back of the magazine is where the spring is connected.  I looked at a diagram on google, and it shows a spring going "U" Shaped through the mag and ending up there.

dust- was it a diagram of the STAR mags? I know the midcap mags are like that. Maybe someone should just bite the bullet and cut one in half.

STAR 30rd Mags
my boomarms package just arrived. The STAR mags are actually pretty nice. They are really light weight(duh). They are a much lighter grey than all of my other mags. They are somewhat convincing and don't look plastic. Unlike the TM standard, they have a bb release switch on top like the G&P midcaps. They feed really well and usually fall free from the gun. I mainly tested them in my TM M4. I shot a couple mags through my CA M16 too. They don't seem to need any lubrication like the G&Ps. There is a little circle on top (where the loading hole is on a hicap) that I'm still trying to figure out. Probably nothing.

Basically- It is a 30 round, plastic, $5 magazine that works really well. [:)]

edit: Damn, I really need to get a real website.  Can't post pics. Follow this link to see my pictures. Pic2 shows TM Standard, STAR 30rd, CA Hicap, G&P Midcap.
