I remember about 10-12 years ago, I was with my parents staying at my great aunt's house in Pine Top, and the neighbors were filling balloons with acetylene and oxygen (off of an acetylene torch setup) and lighting the string and watching the balloons burst when the fire on the string got close enough to the balloon.

It was moderately cool to observe from 2 houses away, but one ended up not floating up high enough, and put a 6 foot crack in the foundation block on their house when it exploded on their patio.

when mixed in the normal mixture used for the torch, the balloon will explode all at once, doing the type of destruction showed in the picture. The balloon was probably around a gallon or so. I bet he also had the drivers door open. You will notice the drivers wing door is gone, while the passengers wing door is still attached to the main door, but is separated from the pickup. The cab is bowed out in the back too.
No burn marks cause the explosion is instantanous. hydrogen and oxogen will do the same thing.
