Only problem i can forsee is people at LC4 won't know what team were on :P.  I'll scroung up some oney so i can pick those suckers up. I too wear medium longs, so i might have to wait a while :(.

You were probably joking, but we can't wear these at LC.  If so, I would!

With regards to MultiCam, no one has them yet.  Raith has some coming, but I don't think they've arrived yet.  In addition, I don't see many AA members buying them due to the hefty pricetag.  Once more people get ACUs, and possibly MultiCam, we can simply incorporate them as we have with other unique patterns.  "OK guys, now remember I'm woodland today!" 8)

Laradas has them, a kid I know just purchased a set.  They're really cool, but do not work too well in the places we play.

You obviously have not been reading the above posts too clearly.

Why cant we? Is it because they don't dreally define what team you're on, since it could be classified as both? I mean, I don't care, but it would be kinda cool. A true field test, you could say.

A Co wears DCU, B Co wears woodland. Thats all there is to it. Besides snipers in ghillies and shadow..You can't wear anything else. It would be too confusing cause what if someone from A. Co wanted to wear them too?

Exactly.  As I recall, Shadow wears Tiger Stripe.

I wore a tan ballcap and had tan bots last year on Bravo.  An alpha trooper that I shot got a bit heated because he said I looked like Alpha from behind a tree, where all he could see was my boots, weapon, and head with a Tan cap.  I took the cap off to avoid confusion.

So you see, if something as small as a cap can be that confusing, imagine the entire uniform being the same.  I know it should be confusing like real war, but real war isn't as fun as Lion Claws!

Heh.  It all comes down to making sure of your target, and knowing who is sharing your AO.  Might be worth considering something like that for a mil-sim scenario.  It also comes into play at night.

If Miller's still has some, I'll probably pick up a set of True-Spec ACUs at Miller's tomorrow.  They're not the real thing, but they'll let me evaluate the pattern and features.

Precisely why I bought a pair.  I will mod them a bit to make them more like the issue ACUs will be, but they'll never be exact.  Good for airsoft, though.

Update:

I'm heading out to the BT area next week with some buddies to take some comparison shots of various camoflauge patterns including MCCUU (D&W), ACU, US Woodland, 3 Color, DTS, Crye MultiCam, etc.

Pics will be posted.

Its pretty obvious that the Multicam will be the best...

*drools over multicam*

From some pics of a comparison between marpat, and ACUs, i think they hold up about the same, but maybe the ACUs just a *tad* bit better.

Multicam is definitely the sexiest camo out there.  Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive.

Nice.  I like the necropost!  And your post was. . . insightful.  As usual, Mr. Husqvarna.

I was at the Surplus store on dunlap the other day and was drolling over the ACU's. They've got digital desert, woodland, and all terrain. Next time I'm in there I'll get a pair of all terrains. :P

Keep in mind that there are two types of peple that call them "All-terrain Digital".

The people that work at Larada's, and you.

Everyone else calls it "ARMPAT".  Don't say that at Larada's though, you'll confuse those porr old ladies! 8)
