« on: July 26, 2005, 12:03:02 PM »
Here is my new workhorse, Its the WGC custom m4 marine. This is my first m4 and I know this may sound like a stupid Question but I cannot figure out how to open the fore grip to put the battery in, Also how do I Adjust the hop-up, If you know how to do any of these please get in touch with me please. Also why I am asking these question is becasue the gun came with no manul.

Also how do I remove the orange tip, it will not unscrew. Thanks in advance for any help

Well, for the orange, unscrew it.  I'm guessing it's CCW threads.   If it's epoxied on...  I would remove the outer barrel and hold a low powered flame to heat up the epoxy, then you can turn it off.  I've had the "luxury" of doing such a few times.

Don't you just pull the ring back and pop the half off?  Or is this the one where you have to turn the ring, then pull back for it to come off?

If it's the same as most M4's just pull the delta ring back and the top and the bottom should come off separately.

Looks pretty sweet, Ethan. Can't wait to light you up while you're carrying it. Hee hee.

At the base of the fore grips there is the black metal ring as Dust was talking about.  You just push that down(toward the buttstock) and the fore grips should come off in halfs...you should probably only need to remove the bottom half.   Flat black the birdcage after stripping the orange off....and pull the charging handle back and spin the wheel that you can see inside the ejection port.

It was once believed that Chuck Norris actually lost a fight to a
pirate, but that is a lie, created by Chuck Norris himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

Unless, of course, you want to use a nun-chuck battery. Which I would high recommend. I hate battery boxes.

Oh, to get to the hopup, pulldown the dust cover.  Pull the charging handle back, it should open it up.  If not, then manually pull it open.  Hop up dial will be right in there.

Edit:  You posted before I did.

See if the flash hider has a screw in it.  sometimes they lock them down using a screw.  If so, unscrew it, and then turn the flash hider accordingly (Righty tighty, lefty loosey, or reverse that for CCW threading).

If it's epoxied on, do what I said to do.

Oh. A hammer, pliers, and a screwdriver/chisel should do the trick then. Heh heh.

The Delta ring is hard as hell to pull back. Also WGC sent the black metal flash hider and I believe the orange one is epoxied on there.

Then you may have to turn it so it fits onto a groove so it can pull back easier....  Do what I said about removing the epoxy.

For Future reference, what was the problem with the Delta ring?  Did you have to turn it?
