LOL. nice idea of a C-47, private with multi engine. hmm, sorry tail dragers are hard to land.

Be my guest and shell out over $12,000.00+ for the pilot training, multi engine, cargo. and a list of other things.

BTW the boneyard, go find a plane. My life long idea is converting a C-130 to a flyable house.

I'd rather spend the money (if I had it) on a cqb/mout facility in AZ. I'd live there.

+- $12K? That actually doesn't sound too bad for a life long dreem.

I was down in Tuscon the other week and a friend lives right near DM and all the bone yards. That really makes me cry, suck a waste. I hate seeing rows and rows of cool planes wasting away. Something tells me the Government isn't going to sell me an A10 though.

Maybe if you asked really really nice?  Then you could convert the minigun to fire 50,000 bbs a minute, and you could take it out to games, and spray down the whole field while you're all flying all over the place, and no one could hit you cuz no one's aeg could hit the plane and even if it did you wouldn't feel it with all that armor...

Sorry, I get carried away sometimes...

Maybe you can offer them to store one of their aging A10's in your backyard for FREE!  Maybe then they will take a look?  ;)

I'm not saying this to blow smoke up ANYONE'S ass.  But I think we have what it takes to put on one of the best events this State (AZ) has ever seen and one that would even  rate as good if not better than the lion claw events.

I mean it.

I agree, I think we have the capability to put together a major Wicked Event even if it is once a year, One to rival anything put on in the states.  We have the terrain, we have the weather, Perhaps we need to put our collective minds together and come up with a killer OP.

(Perhaps this should have been better posted in the Ops Forum)

  (Oh well)

Well, I sure would be neat to have an old facility like the Ft. Ord Jail. Just think, if it had electricity ...Hell, even if not, what a great place to play. Indoor CQB, outdoor assault and skirmish. wow.

It's that old, shut-down jail on Fort Ord, on the central coast of Ca.

I don't believe that it is still being used for paintball or airsoft. I'm planning on checking it out next week, but I'm pretty sure the commie local governments that now control Fort Ord kicked all of the fun stuff off of base. (Of course the rich, snobby equestrians still have a huge, smelly plot of land right next to it.   )

I agree. I think involving John Lu in some way would help because we could use his established base of players that are loyal and crazy enough to fly across the country for an airsoft game. We could definitely run a game in the middle of the winter when the rest of the country is freezing. We just need a good location. (As in MOUT location, not LC type- it's easier to get people to travel for that)

I'd say so...I mean, shit, five of us are flying across the country in a little more than a month. 8)

We had a generator and lots of flashlights. It is an AWESOME facility, but I think its airsoft days are over or at least very limited. I doubt that it will be left standing in the future.
