I'd go to see it. As with most Hollywood war movies I would not expect a lot from it.

The book was slightly entertaining, but full of s***. The movie looks a bit more promising from the previews. Good cast, at least.

I never read the book. Suprising, eh? But the movie looks good.

If it turns out to be like Doom looks, I'll be very mad!

Saw a preview of it last night before seeing the Great Raid, which was freaking awesome by the way, and it looks promising.

I 2nd that.

Jarhead is from the same people that brought us American Beauty, which was a wonderful movie.

I'm excited for this one, but not for it's action and realism.

Think about it.  It's the same reason we go to movies that aren't action movies.

Sometimes, it's nice to see a movie that has just been made well.  Character depth, interesting plot, good direction all adds up to a good film.

FWIW, I just saw "A Sound of Thunder" the other night, and it had none of those traits.  After realizing it was based on the Ray Bradbury story, I decided to see it.  Interesting storyline, but poorly executed, and with the worst CGI I have seen in 10 years.

I'd hardly call him the Christian Rapper.  He's an a$$hole, but I like his music.  The name of the song is "Jesus Walks."
