Nerf Howler Footballs (for those who want to buy!!)
« on: April 11, 2006, 11:28:23 AM »
Just a shot in the dark, but how many people are interested in ordering some nerf howlers? I haven't been able to find any other place that sells them, but this company requires a minimum order of $300 worth of stuff (it's a distributor). I only want to order 24.

http://www.lsdistribution.net/all-manuf ... ortex.html

So like I said, just a shot in the dark...

Correction: $300 is the minumum order. That means we would need to order 134 footballs. (Thanks Shado)

Those interested:
Me (will buy 30)
Phyrst (12)
KOBO (12-24)
IcePlatinumSky (12)
taz (30)
shado (30)

OK! If KOBO buys 24 then we have 138 howelers! We can order!

I am interested, insofar as that I eventually plan on getting a M203 and I have read that using the Howlers is the pinnacle of there usefullness. That and they are hard to get.

So yea Interested!!

Be Well,
Charlie

It may be easier than you thought.  The minimum order is $300.00 not 300 items. 134 howlers will get you over the minimum number required.

Yes that would make it easier. Ok. Well. So I guess we might be halfway there...

So are there maybe 3-4 more people interested? I guess I could order 30. Might as well stock up...

If you want a cheaper more readily available source I recomend these.

Zocker Darts

http://www.zockertoys.com/z257.html

Much more reliable, and also bigger fins for more stable flight.

You might want to use these also to power them
XM-PB4s

Yeah unfortuantely most are useless for anything but BB's the only I recomend is the XM-PB4 and the Moscart 165rds.

I'm in the process of getting my hands on some of the CAW Prop grenades.... those will be fun!

The only thing about that is that they don't whistle when making noise. It can sometimes be hard enough already for some guys to notice it even when it's whistling. Also it depends on what type of launcher you're using...

Oh also, I don't use Green or red gas. I use one 12g CO2 cartridge per shot.  I've gotten well over 100feet with it on average. And they are pretty accurate.

Never did any recording but, I don't have anything to say except good things about the howlers.

Is that LAW an airsoft or real one?  I had an idea a few days ago to make a "LAW" out of that really big pvc tubing and a compressed air tank hidden inside for shooting nerf footballs.

What do you guys think?

 Is this even feasible?

Possibly. Mine is a toy bazooka that was gutted and retrofitted with PVC piping and a valve. It's a pretty simple mechanism.

But lets try and keep this topic only for those interested in buy howlers.

Also, just so you guys know, the same company seeling the howlers also sells the ones Rocketman recomended.

So if you'd rather buy those, still let me know. We just need a total order of $300
