Gas Powered Guns / Re: WE PDW vs. KJ M4
« on: April 28, 2010, 11:55:04 PM »
The factory fps differences may just be in the design. The BCG on the KJW is unique compared to the KA, WE, AGM. From what I have read its more efficent than most of the other platforms. 60 to 90 rounds off one gas charge in most cases. Some have claimed more.
My opinion is biased though because I only own the KJW. With the 390-400 fps setting on my velocity reducer, I get 60 rounds easy with gas to spare.

Found this for you too:

Not sure on the WE other than WE has a terrible track record for reliability out of the box.
As far as the KJW, well, all I can say is its badass. Reliable, can use AEG front sets with minimal modification, and runs out smooth. Range with a few inexpensive Cradle Airsoft mods ie: TBB, velocity reducer(yes you will need one with the KJW on GG) and CNC piston is excellent. My barrel is only a 300mm and it gets out 150 - 200ft easy and accurately, for an airsoft gun that is.

Read Raven1's review

There is an extensive thread on Arnies forum on the KJW and a short one on the PDW also. The PDW is pretty new and there isnt too many reviews out for it yet.

Changed the G&P Fire Pig front set out for the longer G&P Viper. Also added a Magpul ACS stock, Magpul MIAD grip(not shown), and G&P Eotech 551.

Alright, since the thread is still open (due to random things lol), what would some people recommend for a GBBR? I've thought about KJW's M4, but not so sure tif that's the way I'd want to go. I like the looks of the WE M4s, but again, not too sure about who is making the best quality. Maybe wait for these to get more popular? I have patience :-"

ACS stock is my preference... All of them are cool though. Its all about personal preference and individuality. Who gives a s**t what everyone else thinks is cool.
All of you noobs looking for advice on "what looks cool" start surfing the internet for pictures, go to games to look at what other people are doing, look at the weapons photo posts on the vast array of airsoft and RS forums out there...

Grow up and make your own decisions.....

Discussed in depth on many a forum. Everyone has their "opinion" on what the term means. In a nutshell here it is:

"Co-witness = seeing two at the same time, regardless of plane.. equal to or bottom 1/3. The key point is being able to rapidly shift to irons in the unlikely event your optic fails.

An EoTech on a riser will put the irons below the red dot, many Aimpoint mounts do this by design. You then have to zero Irons & Red Dots seperately.

Many folks get lazy and just zero the dot & move the Irons to it.... or vice versa. The validity of this zero depends on the plane of the optic/dot and the irons. Best to zero one then the other seperately."

Here was the dialog in the closing moments of that video -

you "CHANGING MAGS!"

me "Here, let me help you with that"

safety kill, safety kill, safety kill

That was quite the highlight of my day.  Good game bros!

I was shocked and amazed. Good times. Brought back some good old memories.
