Yes, it uses a modified grease gun mag.

Yes, of course I will shoot it.

I am removing the SD front and getting the standard MP5 handguard.  The barrel is going to be cut down and threaded, then a metal fake supressor will be attached to keep the barrel at 16".

So you're going to "SBR" it?  [:)]

Now, if you are going to thread the barrel, you've got to wait until September 14th to do it, right?  Otherwise you'll have built an EVIL "assault weapon" since you'll have three evil features:  detachable mag, pistol grip and threaded barrel.  I can't wait until that worthless AWB dies.

No, I am not making it an SBR.  As I said, a fake metal suppressor will be attached after the barrel is cut down, that will keep it a legal 16".

I do not have to wait to thread the barrel either.  The suppressor will be permanently fixed to the barrel with silver solder.

I have been thinking about the SBR option though.  The $200 doesn't bother me, it is the potential 6 month wait for approval that really gets under my skin.

Yeah...  though if it's the same process as registering a CIII MG, if you do the corporation thing, your wait will be a month, tops, since you bypass the lengthy parts (signatures, fingerprints and background check @ the FBI).  I know someone who went that route for a CIII and they got their stamp in just under a month.

The dealer wanted $1100 for it.  I started talking to him in the last 45 minutes of the gunshow, and after some masterful BSing, I walked away with the gun, 3 mags and a case for $900 cash.  Quite a steal since I have not been able to find one under $1300.

Now i dont know much about guns, but why do you use "Grease Gun" mags in it and not just normal mp5 mags in it?????
