News at 11 - big badass bully shot dead by skinny sniper from a mile away.....

Bingo. 'Cept, I ain't skinny. Big guys take recoil better, hence faster follow up shots.

AZSarge, suppose you're right about the M3. I remember Ron over at ATF (Arizona Tactical Firearms) was talking about them a while back, and they're supposed to be pretty impressive. But if you're not going to use them to their full potential, might as well buy an M2/ML2 and save some dough.

The red dot is as fine as a pin point  giving you that head shot or body shot a 100 yard

I don't know if I'd call 4MOA "pin point." :P

That's where the EOThingy comes in to play.

For airsoft, get a replica unless you plan on getting an actual firearm down the road. Why disgrace such a fine piece of equipment by limiting it to an airsoft "gun."

I used to have my EOTech, but sold it in favor of a Remmy 700PSS. I miss it, but I'm thinking I might get an AimPoint this next time to see how I like it. That, and with the M3 coming out, battery life is up even more compared to the M2/ML2's. I just wish AimPoint would throw a nice little ring around their dot to aid in close-in "engagements," should they ever take place. That's where the EOTech's got them beat, a 1MOA dot for distance, and a 65MOA circle for close in.  ;)

I've heard of worse. "I'm the only one special enough in the room . . . " comes to mind. Professionally trained, and look what he did (the DEA agent's ND, if you don't know what I'm talking about).

That, and I've never personally met the young lady (feels weird saying that, I'm younger than she is!), so I couldn't be too sure.

I think I saw this thread the first time around, but forgot to reply. And I've been out of airsoft for a while, 'cause I play with the real things now, and it's real expensive. :(

Welcome, Nicole. Glad to see there are others of the opposite sex who are interested in our little hobby.

Now, let's clear something up now, shall we? Please tell me that BUIS and AimPoint are not the actual product! If it is, you people are crazy for blowing $400 on an AimPoint and not having an actual AR to mount it on!!!

ETA: On second thought, that looks mighty real to me. Either way, at least your finger's where it belongs.  :D

Is this still in the IMAX? I'll have to check the site, but I'd LOVE to see it again in the IMAX!!!

This BF2 thing is sounding worse and worse all the time. I still haven't played it, and it doesn't sound very amuzing right now. Granted, I don't play PC games much, and when I do it's usually a LAN game, but still, this kinda crap pisses me off to no end. One of the reasons why I blow my money on firearms instead of games these days. Hope they get this cleaned up or altered somehow.

This needs a BOTD in the topic line. I'm at work, and although I didn't get caught with that on the screen, I could have been in deep you-know-what if I had.

If it's a KSC/KWA, then it usually does drop a few BB's when you remove the magazine. A buddy of mine had one, and it did the same thing to him. As for the BB rolling out, check the hop-up bushing. This can be found on the breech end of the barrel, right where the BB sits as it's first chambered (made of black rubber). Either it's too greasy, it's not turned up high enough, or is broken.

No brass inside the polymer. It's a brass base and rim, with the brass extending about 1/2" up the length of the case, and then it's pure plastic. I'll post pictures later tonight if I can get a clear close-up shot of one.

No, they're not reloadable. I have no idea if they're berdan or boxer primed, but as you stated the polymer wouldn't have a sufficient hold to retain another round.

Old thread, I know, but I got a box of these and my AR ate them up with no problems. Granted, that was just 20 rounds, but it functioned just fine. :D

Man, it still gets me to watch these types of thread unravel so quickly. Not much seems to have changed over the past year or so.

The point is, whether you think it's OK to brandish a replica firearm or not, it's still illegal. Period. I don't care if you're 15 or 47. Open carry of a firearm (ie, an actual firearm) is perfectly legal in our state, but generally those who carry (either open or concealed) keep their firearm where it belongs - holstered! As soon as that thing breaks leather, all hell will break loose. Your airsoft goodies will cause the same reaction. I've never had a loaded firearm pointed at me, but I can tell you it's probably the last thing I want to experience.

I know a bunch of cool PHX PD, and am close friends with a number of them, but if they were to see me pointing anything remotely resembling a firearm at another individual, they wouldn't hesistate to draw down on me no matter how well they know me, nor would I in the same situation until I got things sorted out.

These for Phoenix, Mesa, or ??? I assume most everyone knows the REAL Phonetic Alphabet?   Buddy of mine in PPD keeps telling me that PHX's alphabet is the correct one, and I always tell him the International Alphabet is the right one. Always fun to tease him.

431King's his 'sign, in case anyone works in the South Mountain area at 9:00PM or later.  :D

I haven't yet seen a KJW P14.45 in person, but I has WA's version for a while before I sold it off to build my AR15. A quality piece of work, but for some reason I wasn't as impressed with it as I was with the old SVI 5" standard I had before it. Sure wish I could find another one of those.

@Rick,

Safety's easy to pop off if you know how. Back when I had my WA SVI, I was being an idiot and twirling it around (back a few years, before I learned a few things). Lost my grip, and it hit the arm on my desk chair, with the result being a safety (both sides) that popped off. It's fairly easy to reinsert, but they CAN fall out.

My suggestion? Learn to bench strip the gun. I took my SVI down to the last screw once every other month if I was using it often, about ever 3 months if I wasn't, and sometimes I'd clean it just for fun. You'll learn how the thing works, and you can replace any parts that you may need to get to. That, and with it being cleaned and lubed with fresh, clean grease, it will perform better for a longer period of time.
