Airsoft Items FOR SALE / Re: Gun Sale
« on: August 11, 2013, 05:39:11 PM »
Feel free to hop off my thread.

LoL, I'm the mod that cleaned up your thread from several others who brought up accusations. I then gave you an opportunity to correct yourself. Your actions are beginning to clearly speak for themselves.  If you'd like to discuss this further feel free to pm me.

Let me be CLEAR, we expect all AA sellers to be upfront with potential buyers. Attempts to hide defects simply by not disclosing them and stating a weapon is stock when it is clearly not, is not keeping within the spirit of Airsoft Arizona.  We expect honesty and integrity on all aspects of this board, on and off the field.

The seller has been given ample time to disclose any deficiencies with his items but since he has not taken the time to make them known, I will take the time to do so.  The Masada is less than stock because it is missing the shell deflector near the ejector port which would normally be on a stock item. Potential buyers should be very thorough with their inspection for any other deficiencies before their purchase.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: Intro

Come out to a game and check out what others have, people are always willing to show off their stuff.    Just tell them your new to airsoft and are looking to see what people like/don't like about their equipment to help you in making a decision on what you might like before purchasing your own equipment.

and what about excessive bumping on your thread or sales thread?

Relax, he's complying with the rules, bump once every 7 days.  You should inform yourself before posting and breaking protocol.

It's always cool to meet new people who want more milsim type events and even more so someone who takes the time to plan and put one on.   I'll travel anywhere in AZ for the promise of a good event or to meet like minded people, unfortunately this game is on my dad's birthday.

To get the best response when posting an event on the boards, I highly recommend making your first post to include the following for ease of reference.

Date
Time
Location (map helps)
Scenario
Rules with FPS limits
Teams with cammo color/pattern requirements
Roster is nice but optional

Here are a few examples.

Rules and FPS limits are set by organizers to reduce the possibility of injuries.  In my experience, No limits greatly enhance the chance of injury, no matter how well intended the person shooting meant to be. No one likes getting a tooth shot out or having to remove bb's from their body and it looks like most have expressed their own feelings on the topic.

Overall, you can host your game with your own rule set. Just don't be surprised when the only ones who show up are you and your friends....

It's already updated, that is an old message from when we changed to a new forum format.

Go inside to the airline check in stations, don't drop them off at the curbside check in because they can't do the required check out there.  Declare your items to the ticket agent and they will be able to help you from there.

Here are the TSA regs on this issue: http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/firearms-and-ammunition

ah ok thanks. Both times I traveled I have used pelican cases. So are you saying there is a way for the ticket agents to look them over first so that TSA does not have to?

TSA will still scan it later, if they have issues they should reasonably try to contact you through the airline to have you go to the screening station to open the case. If they are unable to make contact they wont load it on the aircraft.  Secondly, If you don't declare it and they need to get in to inspect, they will cut your lock.

Just saw this... wow.. um. Just to be on the safe side I ALWAYS check my 'weapons' real or not ..in a locked rifle hard case that only I have the key for.. the check in agents will inspect and drop a tag inside your case and have you lock it back up - and all will be undisturbed when you receive your luggage on the other aide.. expect to pay a little extra on some airlines..

This is the best advice.   When I fly I just treat my Airsoft guns as if they were real and follow the airlines policies on checking in weapons.  Never had any issues checking them in.  One bit of advice, pack your bb's in with your weapons cases, don't carry them on your carry on.  When they scan the carry on bag the bb density is such that it resembles a possible explosive. Some agents are cool once they find out what they are while others are not and won't let you board with them.  So just save yourself a headache and put them in the case with your guns so they can inspect it prior.  If they are really really tight, you might end up needing to buy bb's at your destination.

Sad bump is sad. :( Does this affect certain games that may or may not be posted?

Fire restrictions affect all games regardless...
