Accessories & Gear / Another BDU thread!
« on: April 17, 2005, 10:38:00 AM »
Well there were some problems with my last order to BDU.com(my fault) but I am going to place an order tomorrow for some propper woodlands. I don't care what you guys say about issue this issue that. My question is...what is the best blend that won't fade..or fade too much, wont rip easily and will be heavy enough to keep me warm in the winter but light enough not to kill me during the summer. Here are the choices:

-100% COTTON RIPSTOP 4-POCKET COAT
-50% NYLON / 50% COTTON RIPSTOP 4-POCKET COAT
-50% NYLON / 50% COTTON TWILL 4-POCKET COAT
-60% COTTON / 40% POLY TWILL 4-POCKET COAT
-BATTLE RIP 65% POLY / 35% COTTON RIPSTOP 4-POCKET COAT

Accessories & Gear / DBT thread, appreciaton/stories/showoff
« on: March 29, 2005, 03:44:49 PM »
Well DBT has done right by me again. Friday I called them up and placed a phone order for a CB belt and CB radio pouch, twas to be paid by money order. Yesterday at 1500hrs I sent the money order via USPS. Got the stuff today via USPS...Seems like DBT decided to presend me stuff not paid for! Which is fine by me, that or they are telepathic. I absolutely love their BLCS line. Last weekend I got to try out my few pouches and they worked great When I get the cam back sometime this week Ill take a few snapshots.

Any others care to share?

AEG's / POS M4
« on: March 27, 2005, 02:13:22 PM »
Well as a few of you may know, my M4 has decided to be a POS lately. The problems I am having are the following:

-Gears aren't shimmed correctly
-Motor connector tabs broke
-Gearbox wires are shredded in places
-Wires, battery, motor, and selector switch plate get VERY hot after just a few rounds being fired
-Safety doesn't work
-Tightbore wobbles from side to side and back and forth a little in the hop.

I am ready to throw my gun in the trash no joke, I can't find any wire sets for the whole gearbox online, and When i found just the wire going from the BATTERY to the GEARBOX it was like 30 bucks(ok that costs about a dollar to make)from HK. Any help is much appreciated, otherwise its getting sold or going in the can.

Accessories & Gear / New headset problems...woohooo!
« on: March 26, 2005, 10:26:18 PM »
So I come home and find this little envelope on the couch with my headset from Singapore in it. I'm excited cause it took eight damn days to get here. I plug it in, turn the radio on and hear everything fine, only problem is, when i push the remote PTT button the transmit symbol on the radio display doesn't come up. its a RS 21-1860. A couple of you saw it today at the game, with its "ghetto jack".

Any help is much appreciated. I would hate to wait all this time and spend ALL that money ;)  on this headset for it to fail already. It's actually pretty cool because it uses a transducer and a coiled acoustic tube that loops over the ear and into a "plug" type earpiece. quite comfy even under goggles or shooting glasses.

AEG's / CA M249 release day set.
« on: March 23, 2005, 12:47:25 PM »
Some info from over at Arnies, alot of you don't read up there so here it is:

Quote
Now news on the M249. It simply uses a replica PGC gearbox and is almost entirely made out of steel and aluminium The PGC look-a-like gearbox allows you to change the spring in a matter of seconds and most important now it realy looks like the REAL thing and almost weighs like it ^_^. The internals will be a new generation that includes a new gear tappet plate ,nozzle and a few other items. It should be out in mid April.

Finally some shots of the ACTUAL gun, I almost thought of selling my m4 for one of these...

« on: February 16, 2005, 05:44:42 PM »
Hey guys I was a few seconds away from paying for a order for some gear when I realized that there may be some of you wanting some stuff. I found a good new online retailer ( www.strategosstore.com ). They mostly have paraclete and BHI but have some real steel stuff too. I am looking to place my order by tommorrow night or friday. They have pretty much everything in stock unlike lightfighter. :( Which is out of 9/10 strike and paraclete pouches. Let me know guys.

Im ordering the following for myself which is in stock:

Paraclete 9mm Quad pouch OD
Paraclete Upright GP pouch OD
BHI Admin pouch OD
