LAMPS is the ROLE, not the numerical designation, but way to go!  The actual designation is HH-60H.  Its similar to the SH-60B Seahawk, but has different cabin doors, and various improvements over the Seahawk.  The ball-shaped device onthe nose of one of them (or maybe both, I cant remember) was a laser target designator for AGM-114 Hellfire Missile.  Heres a Pic:

Nice, John!  BTW LAMPS means"Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System"
I love the Hawk series[:)]

I thought you were looking for something more elusive.  Heck the model designation was to obvious I guess.

On a related note, I was speaking with my Father, and a few UH-60L pilots at Papago, and they informed me that the hawk can carry a load that weighs more than the old UH-1H itself weighed (the entire airframe)!  The H60 series is simply amazing!  My dad flew gunships in VN and told me that they would have to dump ammo, etc to allow anyone else on as a passenger (ie evac wounded) once the bird was full.  With all the guns and ammo (two M134's, two 7-shot rocket pods [or a 40mm launcher], two M60s, and a crew of four, plus ammo for all this), they would be JUST under max gross.

Take a look at this picture.  The man standing to the left of George W. is a Nam medivac pilot who won the CMH for flying out more wounded than any other pilot.  Ask him about what a Huey can do.

Duh! Thanks.

Who did you order it through Frank?  Mind if I ask what you paid as well?  I know the Armalite M4 I bought from Zorks was $290 shipped, but it wasn't a RIS model.

Well I got double screwed on customs, and it ended up around $400.  Redwolf is claiming they put on the ticket that they would pay the fee's and I guess the US side did not read it or some thing. I may take it up with my bank and see what they say.

Well at least it didn't get confiscated, Chase told me that the Armalite trades are only legit if you buy the gun directly from Armalite, so any of them coming into the country from Hong Kong are subject to confiscation due to illegal trade marks.

On a side note, there's a better picture of Flea and his scope at frame 1.24.19 if someone could capture that frame and post it.  After looking at it from this better frame I've decided that it has to be a Colt scope.  I can't find a picture of it right now, but I have seen one for sale on eBay.  With that large turret at the top front, I think it's safe to say that it has the illuminated recticle.

M4 silencers & stuff?
« Reply #42 on: August 31, 2003, 02:57:10 PM »
I was just wondering if the more experienced Airsofters around here could tell me, Are the muzzle threadings the same on the CA M4 and the TM M4?  Will they take the same silencer or do I need a different one for each? If anyone has any other useful info for me, I would appreciate it.

I just ordered a CA M4 and I currently have a TM one. One of these 2 I was going to make into a Tears of the Sun style M4 sniper rifle.  But I wont know for sure which one to upgrade until I get them both side by side and see.
