Spring Power!! / Uber-leet M4(yes, its a springer)

It has an KM120 internally, so i can sniper people at long range. I had an inspiration to make an M4 commando style rifle one day, so I cut up the barrel of a crappy M4 springer I bought(it came with an L85, the coolest rifle ever, and its for a project). I am using it this weekend, for the 17th game, as  a sidearm to my M24, and during a game when I'm not using my M24(Paul D Wog is giving me 5 bucks, that is lunch right there).

Yes, its that time again! I'm getting a new rig. I have been looking at a few things(mind you, this will be for real world, assuming my commander allows it, and airsoft). Now, I have been looking at several different plate carriers, and here are my choices so far:

Eagle CIRAS
Battlelab FAPC w/Cumberbund or Equivilant(Paraclete, ect).
SOTech Callahan
HSGI Woosatch(what kind of name is that?!)

I wanted to hear what the owners(as far as I know nobody owns a woosatch, or FAPC with the cumberbund) or pervious owners have to say about these peices of equipment. A comparison between some of it would be nice.  If there is something that I haven't listed that you think is a nice peice of kit, let me know, along with advantages and disadvantages it has. Please, post only what you have DIRECT knowledge(ie if you OWN it) of. Thanks.

Anyone play Neverwinter Nights/SoU/HoTU? If so drop me a line. If you don't know what it is: its a Roleplaying Game for PC based on Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 rules(sad that I know that...). Its a really good game if you like medieval kinda stuff, or any of that magical crap. If you don't have it, and you like D&D you can pick the game up, and its two expansions for 40 bucks. Well worth it, and HOURS of play.

For all you desert rats out there:

I had a close call today with a friend. We were out in the desert(down the road from my house) having a little pistol battle(this was about...9:15, we had been out there for about an hour, when it wsa still light outside). I had just loaded a new mag, and went to engage my friend, when one of this rounds hit something, and the something started making shitloads of noise, so I turned around and ran like a little girl. Now I'm sure at this point in my story most of you are typing something like "dumbass" without reading the story. Okay...story is over. I understand the risks of being out in the desert at night, with all the little critters at night, but I'm just reminding all of you out there, watch yourself, day and night. Thats all for now....no bitching about my "stupidity".

Before you jump on my case about putting this in the wrong forum, I don't want the "general" public buying this, only people i know, which is most of the people that post in this forum, or can post in this forum.

Anyway, its a great pouch, its just taking up space on my vest i can use for ammo. It can carry a crapload of stuff, and its in good condition, OD in color. Uses MALICE clips to attach to any PALS webbing.  I'm asking $50 for it. Buyer pays for any shipping. I would prefer not to trade unless you have something I REALLY want. If you want it let me know. If I don't sell it in a while, then i will put it up for sale to the "general" public.

Who the hell is this guy? I'm gone for like...8 or so hours, and this guy comes onto our board talking mad sh*t, that seemingly comes from nowhere. What was his problem, and who the hell is he? Paco, any idea if he posts on this board under a different name? Maybe an IP to where it came from?

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Next Large AZ Op: UPDATE

Hey everyone. I was driving home the other day, and i noticed a facility, that *looks* abandoned. I'm not sure if it is, but I plan on contacting the current owners, and the owner of the land. The op would be focused around a central structure(un-known of whats inside). It is in a farm area near some groves of various trees(mostly oranges from what i've seen). The operation would consist over alot of this land, with alot of hedgerow style fighting(from one grove to another, depending on what the owners would let us use). Would anyone be interested in attending? If so, how much would you pay(i would set up raffles and such), plus props ect? The play area is right next to a road, near civilization. My biggest concern would be other people seeing this, and destruction of crops(depending on where we play, there are some dead looking groves we could play in).

This is just an idea, so no bashing, please. I don't expect this idea to go through, just giving out an idea for our next large arizona based op(like cold burn). If you have any questions, post them here, i'll try to clarify to the best of my ability, or to bring up other points i failed to mention.


UPDATE: I found the owners of the location i plan to have the game at. Now i just need someone(an adult) like Mikey or a normal game planner to come visit the owners with me. I dont want them thinking im some stupid kid wanting to play paintball on their property. Its just a matter of time before i can SERIOUSLY plan the event.

As of 01-27-2005, I am in the Army National Guard. I swore in this morning at 9 AM. I am a Private First Class(good ole ROTC). I ship out on August 10th to Fort Benning. My MOS is 11B, or Infantry for you non military types.

i have a quick question. I'm putting a spring in, and one end is more tightly coiled than the other. The tightly coiled end goes TO the piston head, or the other way around. I was told this once, but i'm just double checking so i dont mess something up...

Accessories & Gear / AK Mags: CA, TM, or STAR?

Okay, this sounds n00bish. I am planning on making a somewhat large order(around 8 or so) of 70 round AK magazines. Should I go with Classic Army Stds, Marui Stds, or some STAR Stds(the ones that looks like 74 mags). I had a bad experience with the STAR midcaps(didnt fit properly) and i'm afraid that if i order some stars, they all might be like that. I have also heard a few things about classic army mags(mainly mp5s). That discourages me badly. TMs i know are great...but i'm not sure if i want some "normal" looking AK mags. In the future i plan to get an AK74 kit, and a fullsize AK(I currently have a spetznas). Also, the "normal" Ak mags dont look *that* great with the spetz. Can someone give me opinions, or state some previous knowledge.

And for those of you who are tempted to say "search". I am about to do this, but i want some current stuff.

Hey everyone, i'm looking for a really good radio. I checked the airsoft gear guide for recommendations on radios, but it never gave any links to sites with radio. I'm looking for the type of radio that will fit in a radio pouch by any of the major gear makers( HSGI, BHI, Eagle Ind.). I have seen some of the kind that Airsofter1, and Raith use. That is the kind i'm looking for. So if you guys could gimme some links for some good radios that would be great.

Also, You can consider this a wanted ad. So if you have a good, working radio like the kind i'm searching for, and you wanna sell it, let me know, we can work something out.

(I'm specifically looking for a radio that will fit in the HSGI Weesatch "radio" pouch)
