Thanks for the kind words, guys.  Remember, if you want it, I am also taking just about anything decent for trades.  Offer up; worst I can say is no.

Pics first:

I airbrushed this helmet for CQC back in Washington, but I don't really use it much anymore because it sticks out like a sore thumb in the desert.  However, it's such a cool paintjob that I can't bear to paint over it.  Therefore, I am testing the waters with this one.  As far as monetary value, the helmet goes for about $35 new, but the added airbrushing should be worth something, right?  I was thinking $50; eventually, this may be negotiable.  Trades can be anything, but I am looking for a headset to use with comms; specifically, some Comtac replicas.  One of the strap buckles broke, but a new set of helmet straps will be included for no charge.  You may just have to wait a couple days for them to come in.  Thanks for looking!

If your G36 is a Gen2 or later, a King Arms selector plate will work great.  I used to have that gun and I broke the selector plate too.

Gas Powered Guns / Re: KJW 1911 MEU

I'm definitely expecting orange, but hopefully it will come off easier than the baked stuff.  As long as it comes off with no damage to the underlying paint, and the barrel is the right length, I don't care.

Yep, gun laws are definitely different there.  I think you only get a green gas mag from EHA, but I'm not sure.  As for the mag issue, it's not that big of a deal.  I usually carry around green gas with me during games anyway if I have time to reload in the field.

As far as upgrades go, is the KJW compatible with all the aftermarket parts for the TM MEU?  Like, if I want to put a tightbore in it?  I happen to have a spare Madbull Black Python tightbore for my WE Hi-Capa; do you think it'll fit?

That was an amazing response; thank you.  I am planning on purchasing from overseas if I do get it, though.  It's just about the same price getting it from Ehobbyasia as ASGI, and there is no extended orange barrel on the Asian version.  My last KJW gun had that nasty baked-on orange, and I never want that to ruin a beautiful gun like that again.  Ehobby also carries the silver MEU mags, which people say are better than the standard KJ 1911 mags. Is this true in your experience?

I'm in the market for a new sidearm and the KJW 1911 MEU caught my eye. It doesn't quite look like every WE 1911 out there, and I've had a fabulous experience with KJW guns (just sold a KJW P226). Something else I find interesting is that it appears to be a copy of the Marui MEU, at least internally. This is a huge plus for me as there are a multitude of aftermarket parts for TM guns.

My only problem is that I thought that the WE 1911s were also TM copies. However, the KJW and the WE are not compatible, as far as I know. Also, does the KJW have any advantages over the WE, or vice versa? For example, I think KJW puts a very good paint on their guns; it almost seems like it is a baked or ceramic finish. WE on the other hand, still has brush lines in the finish. Does anybody own this gun that could help me out?

BUMP!  Pics are now up.  I am also interested in selling outright, depening on the offer.  I have one or two tentative offers, but first come first serve.

I know (on both counts).  There may, however, be a chance it is worth that much; it all depends on what he's done to it. (e.g. what type of metal body and rail system?)

Pics please.  I am interested, but I want to know why someone is selling a gun for $400 when it retailed for $220.

How much for the camouflage painted scope?  What kind of condition is it in?

I have a new version Sig 226 that I'd like to trade.  I have only modded it externally, which is limited to a quality two-tone finish.  Everything is in excellent condition with no problems in the short time I've owned it (actually one of the most solid GBB pistols I've ever handled).  It would come with an ACM serpa (holster only; 1 screwhole stripped out) and 1 non-leaking mag.

As for trades, I am putting together an AF-style loadout because I am in AFROTC and about to become a Wing AEF instructor.  As such, all GBB trades will be considered, but an M9 would be ideal for familiarization purposes.  Other accepted trades would be 1911s (no HiCapas), USPs, and Glocks.

I will be going home for Thanksgiving to pick up my airsoft stuff, so trades would have to wait until after that timeframe.  I know it's a little while, but I just want to get this out there.

Introduce Yourself! / Hey from Washington
« on: November 05, 2010, 04:19:03 PM »
Hello all,

My name is Derek and I moved here to go to college at Embry-Riddle.  Been to a game or two already and I love the environment; lots of places to play outdoors here.  Played CQB almost exclusively in Tacoma, WA before coming here, so most of my stuff is geared for that.  If an arena opens up anywhere, please be sure to let me know. :) Right now I am the combat tactics instructor for my AFROTC flight, and I will probably be posting soon on here to find some OPFOR to train against (CQB and outdoors).  Hope to see you all on the field!
