Classic Army AK-74 -VS- ICS AK-74 THE BATTLE FOR THE AK!
« on: July 09, 2006, 11:02:12 PM »
Whats up troops!

I'm fixin to pick up an AK and have been doin alot of homework on both model AEG's.  They damn near seem the same overall in appearance, performance, upgrade capability, and above all ruggedness.  I also did alot of checken on other forums and websites.  The overall opinion is split down the middle!!!  50/50 baby!

Sound Off with your comments and/or suggestions

I could use the feedback fella's

Thanks!

Classic Army wins on past performances alone.

Dude once you go Classic Army you never go back :)

and thats a good thing. if you get their newer guns

i have a CA AK-74 and i love it

so get a CA. it has preupgraded internals, its easily upgraded, etc.

if u want to go around 380 with.20's bb's i would highly suggest buying high silicone wiring

so what are you waiting for. GO GET YOUR CA TODAY

Ummm I like CA, but theyhave one AK. For me VFC is the best brand I have ever owned. Plus VFC is coming out with a whole line of AKs, so is ICS,CA,SRC. So if I were you I would wait alittle and see, because thats alot of AKs!!!!

Other manufacturers, like Fish said, are making them. SRC already has two AKs out, the '47 and the 'M-S, full-metal and 300fps for the same price as a TM. But if it's only a choice between ICS and CA, go with CA.

Ok, Fella's A few minutes ago I ordered my personal sidearm from Depot-53.  What the hell!  I will go crazy weighing AK-74's all night so I went ahead and ordered a nice little pistol to continue my gear loadout phase.  It's an M-92F GBB (Full Metal) runs on the 134a gas.  Also added clips and a combat package.

NOW!  As this comes to me in the mail....we can sit here and figure out a great AK for me to pick up here within two weeks.  I wanted to give everyone some time to put in the 2 cents about the AK's.

SO KEEP IT COMIN!

If your only choices are between ICS and CA, then CA should get your money. But, consider other brands such as TM and VFC. I have a TM AK and love it.  I've never had any problems with the gearbox, and I'm at least the 3rd owner.

2nd owner for my CA AK-74. i've put my 2cents in but i'd thought i'd add some more

CA put in some stronger parts which make it last longer.

my friends TM AK had springs break inside and it messed it up for a month

i'd go CA as i do with mostely all my guns

well the TM AK is really nice mine has been through hell! (flashfloods, mud, gone off cliffs with me! everything) and it never broke! nor did i have to replace a part, but i would aslo recomend the CA one over the ICS.

I have a CA ak74... It kicks butt...

I lent it to Whacker55 this last weekend for a round of defending, he shot out 8 people with it...

I personally have had nothing but good comments on it. Ive dropped it a few times too and it hasnt busted. It holds up just like the real one, and the internals are better than TM from what i have heard...

I guess CA, but what i have heard ICS isn't that bad either.
AKs themselves are pretty solid, durable, and well built

Airsoft and real steel characteristics are far from interchangeable.

I used the classic army AK 74, at SWPB this weekend and dealt a pretty good run of death with it - 8 in a row in a mad dash around the castle but the damn selecter switch kept jiggling to semi as I ran, so I had to hold it against the frame when I shot. other than that - it hit super accurate, and had a nice sound to it. even felt like the real deal (minus a little weight) cause I shoot a real AK. I'd get a CA; Anything CA makes is pretty good outta the box... otherwise Marui is my second choice. either the full or the krinkov. never tried a VFC however... so they may be formidable.
