Question about Escort gas powered MP5
« on: June 10, 2007, 02:54:32 PM »
I am looking to buy one of these.

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/a ... odID=20499

Would I be able to attach one of these to it?

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/a ... odID=22723

I guess what I need to know is what are the threads on this MP5A5 like.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Also would that KX3 work with one of these flashlight hand guards attached?

No, the bullets are too big to fit through the hole.

The threads on the MP5 are NOT 14-, unfortunately.

According to a review I found on another website the escort mpa5 has 14mm clockwise threads.  Are there any ways to reverse that? Like an adaptor or something.  A new outer barrel perhaps?

Yes, you can get thread adaptors.  Just go to ace hardware or look around wgc shop/redwolf.  I had them on both my G&G M14 and my SPm16

I just came up with another question.  Can you switch out the inner barrel on the escort mp5a5?  I was playing with the idea of getting a precision barrel for it when I get it.  Thanks.

Yes, if you can get a 10mm OD inner barrel.

I take it they are pretty rare then.  Any suggestions where to look?

Well, it's not that they're rare, they just don't make them. It's a simple cut though, you could make your own.

Yeah i guess not being made makes them extinct.  When you say its an easy cut are you talking about the length, or filing down the diameter?

I mean the hop-up cut that the bucking and packing protrude into is fairly simple.

You could turn some stock down to 10mm and cut the required 6.1mm shoulder with a little bit of work.

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but it's a start.

http://www.x-fire.org/04/96/04_pdichamber/e.main.html  See if they have a 6.01mm in development.

If its compatible with the escort guns then its exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the link.

I know its dead, but I have a related question and one really shouldn't make a new thread to ask a very question related to the topic.

Any news on a full size mp5 gbb or similar smg? I hear that Escort went belly up, but I am still looking.  I have looked into the mp5k and the mp5k charger, but they are not really what I am looking for,

I cant really seem to find anything other than a cqb m4 and an ak-74u, but thats NOT what I am looking for.

Just a small'ish gbb smg for cqb.

Madbull is supposedly releasing a gbb kriss, that is smaller then a mp5, but not by much. I am waiting as much as you bro.
