What kind of camera do you guys use?
« on: July 25, 2007, 07:57:48 PM »
I just dug out my old Canon from my duffle bag. It hasn't seen action since Lion Claws and I must've roughed it up, because all my pictures come out blank. I've toyed with all the settings, with no luck. So I've decided to get a replacement, I'm not sure which one to get yet, but I'd like some recommendations from those of you who've been taking pictures recently.

I assume you are just looking for a fun point and shoot type of camera? My friends that do professional photography tell me that the newest Cannon powershot models are the best for the money. The SD40 is a wicked little camera that is super sleek. Really nice features and they are outperforming Leicas that are far more expensive. I have a Cannon A560 and I am very happy with that, and it is a cheapy, only 200$.

If you want a quick nice little camera to carry with you I recommend the powershot SD600 ELPH by Cannon. If you are looking more professional. I have the Cannon D20 with a bunch of differant lenses..

It's a Digital SLR.

I do Photography as a Hobby.. Digital or otherwise.

Pure Digital "Flip" 30 minute version. Put it between 2 scope mounts and secured with duct tape.

Works fine except cheaters get caught and give me attitude about it.

use both a point and shoot and a 8MP SLR.  Just got a digital camcorder too, but haven't had that on the field yet.

Currently we have a Cannon powershot a570, and a Cannon SD630. I know we have another one, I just can't find it right now.

I did take a look a the professional cameras and then I realized they cost more than my SAW and all the upgrades I put into it.

I'll let you guys do the high end stuff, I just mainly use my cameras for group shots like before or after a game. As well as for certain oppurtunities in the middle of the game (i.e. you know when you die and there's a really good battle going on around you.)
