Prep for battle...1st time!
« on: August 02, 2007, 04:26:02 PM »
Hi All! This is probably a stupid question, BUT...., I'm just trying to soak up information whether it's a little or alot! As a newbie, is there any hints or tidbits of info you can share that might make the first time go a little smoother? I'm gearing up now and have just about got my buddy talked into joining. It would be nice to hear anything you have to offer and am looking forward to gettin' going! Thanks! Steve

Hey, there is a guide on here labeled for newbies. It had a large amount of information regarding Airsoft if you want to check it out.

Thanks, I think I saw that section, I'm getting dizzy looking at all of these threads. I was kinda wondering about how the game/s are run? Do you guys have like squad leaders or do the teams break down into maybe groups of 2 or 3 players... or... everyone for themselves???  Do they play more missions or just skirmishes???  I guess I'm wondering am I going to be following some people around or am I going to just get thrown into pure chaos?  The battles I've been watching on youtube seem awesome and the reason I actually decided to give this a shot! Thanks again!

Hey Farslayer, Thanks for the PM, I'll remember that... I just went and got BDU's today, both colors, and a few items for the vest.... I would like to grab a pistol yet, I've got my camelback ordered along with some magpuls and drop bag, would like to get backup batteries too...I'll see about getting to the game, we're right in the middle of house hunting so my free time on weekends are limited at the moment. I look forward to having a good time and maybe meeting some new friends! Ya know, while I'm at it here, what's the straight scoop on the orange muzzles? I've seen on some web pages that it has to be there, yet I see most( like 98% ) of them in the pics don't have it? I don't want to cause problems for myself but I would like to black it out.....

Orange is only required for shipping.  Just don't brandish your weapon in public.
