It has some merit, but there are down sides to it.  I can change out my spring right now in about 2 minutes and at the same time relube my gear box without having to remove it from the gun.  With this system, your back to a regular AEG box were you have to remove it and strip it down to do so.  Also you need to spend a bit more to buy all the parts that are required to make the conversion.  I'll just leave my SAW that way it is for now.

Luck doesn't have much to do with it, really. Its more of a bank account thing! Man, if you guys thought TAG was bad before, we've gotten worse recently, as BK picked up a 249 recently, too. Add that to our Ma Duece, two M60's and a Vulcan, and that's a team with too many members with good jobs! We don't have the Duece anymore, cuz Smoochie sold it, but he's looking to get a Pinzgauer to replace it.

There was a gentleman on Airsoft Players a while back that said he put in a Systema Super High Torque Motor (AK Type) and got some insane ROF with it, but he did not mention anything else with that mod.  John, do you think putting in an AK EG1000 motor would help lessen battery drain without slowing ROF on a SAW upgraded like yours?

Mikey I'll have to double check my gun, but I think it has a systema high torque motor in it.
