Best fields in Arizona
« on: January 27, 2009, 08:21:45 PM »
Hello. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Nova from Central Pennsylvania. Myself and some friends may be coming to Arizona sooner or later and we were wondering what the best places to play airsoft were in the state. The location should not matter. I just supposed that you guys would know best.

With much respect,

-Nova

It's all up to what kind of game your playing, I really like 4 peaks, it's good sized and maybe a 20 minute drive (to the offeoad part) from my house. Sasco is also a great feild, has buildings good mix of terrain, but is a good hoir and 30 minutes from my house, and then last weekend I went to Santa-rita for the first time, really hilly, but lots of fun, except the 3-4 hour drive(traffic) and being 35 degrees when we woke up mt. Ord is also fun, but a bit longer drive, and from all the pics I've seen camp Navajo that hosts the red dagger and ballon hammer looks great

Go to TACs website, I'm on my iPhone so I can't copy the link, but just google tuscon airsoft an that will get you to it, that's were to look if you are down south.

OK thank you. I think I am probably looking for a field/open type place.

Tuscon is a very nice place. I visited in 2001 and can't wait to return.

TAC is at:
http://tucsonairsoftcoalition.com

There is a section in the forums for AOs that has directions and photos of many of the AOs around Tucson.  The ones around Phoenix are more event specific so they will take a little more poking around on this board to find.

Depending on what your experience has been back east for fields, we really only have 1 outdoor and 2 indoor CQB fields that are run by an organization I know of.  I believe there are a couple paintball fields that run airsoft on occasion as well.  Most of our games are located out in no mans land with no affiliation with any business.  The link to the TAC site will show you were most of those are.  So please don't get me wrong, we have quite a few places to play but they are mostly a drive and not just in town somewhere.

Hmmmm I'll keep It as simple as I can, before I even registered on this forum I was a lurker { Ya I know hard to believe } I visited every thread on this site and clicked on almost every link I found and I found out where the most popular places to play were,{ With Pics, how cool } and where they were, and when these games happened, and how often the games happened. I did some time consuming and a complete examination of this site, and on my own, had all but a couple of questions answered. Then I joined this community, Maybe I'm old school and this Is not the way It's done anymore, but It worked for me.. :-k

I like Flagstaff the best, but that area is on military grounds, and for special games.

eh MTT prices aren't really that bad.  Sure $40 may be a bit much for some of their events, But the occasional 10 dollars for their big games is worth it as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you all! I have found a lot of interst in many locations. We have plans to drop in at Irene a year before, so the plans will be in the future a little while, but thanks for all the information.

I like MTT events meself.  Some are open shoot'em up gmaes and others are tactical training.  They have a field that's about an hours outside of phoenix, but they also do events at a new building in downtown Phoenix.  They do offer carpooling for thier big field.  There is also the free Rebel Union games every Sunday.  My advise is to just pick one and see if you like it.  If you want to check out marauders here is their website: http://www.marauders.us/

Here is a video I made recently from the Marauders Big Game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBX5nexbvuA
