Well ask and you shall receive

thank you for all the feed back. I feel that I and other AA users can derive this from the posts:

1. A friend and I will be attending LC this year and would like to get/join the AZ squad
2. LC would be a great thing to attend for the sheer volume experience and camping out of state and first experience
3. We in AZ should put on a comparable OP to LC so we don't have to travel, and then donate all funds to the help the Korean Moon foundation so I don't have to work anymore (I can dream)

but again thank you vets for posting.

After substantial deliberation the Wardogs have decided to attend LC this year.  Because the staff is all new we have decided to give them the benefit of proving themselves.  Someone from WD should be reacing out to CT .....

A little FAQ:
1) how do I get in with the AZ group? - traditionally most of us sign up Bravo Co/Task Force Mullen (woodland), a few decide to go 3-color though.
2) how do I get into the AZ platoon? - To get in my platoon you get invited.  A platoon has only so much space.  You are always welcome to hang out in the after game activities.  There is always a place for you.
3) how can I be sure I'll be with my friends? - try to sign up together and put down the same thing in the "team affilation" field, even if its not a real team.

Those seem to be the most common.  Hope this helps.

Im debating on whether or not I want to go again this year. The only thing really holding me back is finding somebody to carpool with since it will cost a grip to drive my jeep to hesperia. If anybody has an open seat please PM me. I'll obviously pay for my share of gas.

Phantoms going this year.

John Lu reassured me that everyone will get trigger time this year. Apparently he said the "new guy" that is running the show this year. The Hollywood prop master that is... He ran a one day event down there and all the airsofters said it was the best they have played at ever.

We will see if it is just like past LC's

The problem with "trigger time" is that its not compatible with "special operations" themes.  The fewer rounds discharged the better.

true but the common complaint is that some people say they only shot around 500 rounds the entire time they were at LC

I did not fire a single BB at LC last year other than to chono.  My AEG went down Friday night and I just carried it around for show.

My platoon was pretty much out of ammo by close of business on Sunday and I had given most of mine away.

The problem is "some people" are used to the typical pick up spray and pray game and when put into a MilSim environment they unreasonably expect lots of trigger time.  In fact, lots of trigger time just isn't MilSim.  And "special operations" is a world where its better when no rounds are discharged.

You can't really have both - its either a really fucking large pickup game, or its MilSim.  Attempts to blend the two extremes have failed as can be observed from pretty much LC III on.

Some people at LC want pure MilSim and some want trigger time.  Some of us go to spend time with good friends.

And some people will cry like a leg bitch pussy no matter what they experience.

That's not really grounds for complaint...I've had a ton of great games where I didn't go through ten mags.

Oh i could care less what happens. the experience of going is fun enough for me. I am just speaking out of from what previous LC's issues were. "sitting and guarding a shack for hours"

You think about it people spend 125-150 to go and drive 6 to 8 hours and to basically hurry up and wait. you have to understand that would piss off a lot of people. That is what LC in Southern Cal is known for.
