We are at 53 RSVPs and counting.  Player packs should be ready within the next 2 weeks or so.  I'll post here when they have gone out so those who miss them have a chance to ask for them before the big day.

We try to base our events on fictional settings based off today's current events and government bodies.  We also set our events up to run continuous from initial briefing to the end of the event with no breaks in the action.  If you want to eat, you have to do it on the move, if you want to smoke, you have to do it on the move, if you need to drink or reload, you do it on the move.  Likewise, if you need additional orders you get them on the move via radio.

Player packs are an email that set the stage for the game with the relevant first briefing, background fluff (optional to read that), and rules.  It is expected that everyone reads these packs so they know what they are doing as soon as the game starts and we have to spend minimal time briefing folks or briefing safety rules before the event.

Any FRS/GMRS radio will do...

This goes for most of the Motorola Talkabout 2-way radios?

I see a lot of them on ebay that say FRS/GMRS radio  and just want to make sure this will work??

Thanks,
-Trey :)

Its funny, just about everyone gives me shit about my little Motorola radios and I've been using them for 2 years now, I must admit they don't hardly get out of the back yard but then I listen more than I talk. One of these days I'll spend the big coin for the Icom but my little Motorola radios have served me well...

I forgot to ask, are bio-degradeable BBs required for this event? And also, reading from your post that this is not a series of pick up games means that the scenario you are going to brief us on will be run ONCE and should last ~4-5 hours, correct?

Biodegradeable is always recommended but for this game it is not mandatory.

You are correct, its one scenario, run once, lasts all game long.

Thanks Fat_Santa54. This event is gonna be awesome, one long scenario, just the way i like it. I think it helps promote a more tactical approach to everything. When everyone knows they are going to remain in-gear and in-action for multiple hours, the pace of the battle is more realistic. I hope to see many of you out there on the 30th then!

Thats the idea...  Most of the guys on DH love this style of play, so its only natural we want to promote it and share it when we host our own games.
