Arizona summer too hot for green gas?

Hello All,

I've been browsing the forum for a little while, but finally decided to ask this question since I have a WE Luger GBB on it's way in the mail (my first GBB).  I'm mainly purchasing this since I'm a World War II hobbyist and won't be doing any serious gaming with it.  My question is:  Is green gas safe in Arizona?  I hear bits and pieces about people resorting to "safer" gases at hotter temperatures but I haven't been able to find any articles or guidelines.

Is this something I can only safely shoot indoors or will it be ok in 90-105 F weather?  Anyone know what the risks are besides a potentially damaged gun?  The gun is made for Green Gas/Propane.

Do not keep full bottles in the sun.

Wal-Mart propane cans can't do that (explode from the heat in the car), can they?

I believe the actual propane bottle are built stronger then the airsoft green gas cans, I never had any issues with a propane bottle.

I know it is off topic a little but I have seen or heard of: ( after the fact of course)

a green gas bottle blow out ( break the glass , not exploding the glass, but luanching into it)a car winsheild,

a can of soda blow and launch the can like a bottle rocket round and round the car hitting glass, personal stuff and spray sticky soda all over

I have seen several bic lighters swell up then blow up like mini grenades

anything under pressure even not combustable can and does bad things when in the SUN or when too hot, shit even whip cream could blow and shoot out the tip  ( fail safe) and shoot around like a whipcrem spitting rocket can.....

OH  altutude can do it too but you'll never see it now with the new travel restrictions on what we can carry but back back wen I got home to find wife's lotions and my shaving cream that had gone off while in the air messing up that garment bag real good........

ok hanging out with two people that both have green gas pistols i know that it can actually help with power the warmer it is... (not from the container)my friend filled up then left his magazine (out of the pistol) in the sun (in the granite dells in the middle of the day near prescott...) and it actually made the bb appear to go a bit faster... and also it will keep your mag warmer when firing so it doesnt freeze on you as quick... same friend and i went through like 3-5 mags and it still didnt freeze

Yes, welcome to Science 101.  The heat causes the gas to expand and therefore increases the pressure.  Yes, it will raise the FPS right up until the point the gun blows itself apart.

I use propane, all my guns work good in the heat. its the cold that really messes them up, luckily it doesn't get too cold in AZ
