Salina Cruz, Mexico 2012
The narco-insurgency has thrown Mexico into chaos since President Felipe Calderon declared war against  the powerful drug cartels in Mexico in 2006.  The campaign against the cartels has lead to many human rights abuses in the southern portion of the country.  Seeing an opportunity for revolution, a leftist separatist group, the People’s Revolutionary  Army, has engineered a movement for independence  in south.  Ground zero of this war is the oil rich port city of Salina Cruz.

Mexican troops are now challenged to stop the revolutionaries and the narco-insurgency.  Caught in the middle of this war are a group of American private military contractors and consultants accused of assassination.

Our story begins here…
Join Marauders Tactical Training on June 27, 2010 from 10 am – 4 pm for a different type of adventure experience at Fighter Town Paintball and Airsoft Park in Surprise.  Use your skills of negotiation, deception, and fire power to rise to power in Operation: Blood Money.

Thanks for the questions.  Here is some additional information about the event.

Q: How do I sign up for the Amercian PMC group?
A: The contractors roles are not available to the general public as they are part of the objectives for the competing three teams.  The roles will be assigned to seasoned players who will further the story through their actions.

Q: Will there be vehicles?
A: There may be vehicles depending on the number of players registered?

Q: Will there be a prize raffle?
A: Yes, prizes will be donated by different sponsors.  Current sponsors include Gearbox Airsoft and Marauders Tactical Training.

Why would you want to be a PMC? It is challenging and dusty.

Exactly.
For the same reason that I elect to be part of the PMC group at my own games. They act as a third party to keep everything moving along how it's supposed to.
It's challenging in a way that you don't get from a normal airsoft experience. You have to think outside the box and be willing to do the crazy stuff so that other people feel comfortable doing what they're supposed to.

I don't go to games because it's super easy and relaxing. I go because I enjoy challenges. lol.

MTT is an organization, not a place.
The UAC is very dusty.
This is at fightertown, not the UAC. ;)

Limits on magazines? Also any restrictions on weapons per team? Do you want the PRA running AKs Mexican Army ARs etc?

Thanks!

Thanks for the interest in the game.  Here are some more answers to some questions.

Q: Are there magazine restrictions for the game?
A: No - players will be allowed to use either low, standard, or high capacity magazines.  However, winding mags will only be able to be wound when out of the weapon to simulate changing magazines.

Q: Are there weapon restrictions for specific teams?
A: Ideally, the Mexican Armed Force should possess M4 or M16 style weapons, the People's Revolutionary Army AK-47's, the Oaxaca Cartel could carry a mix of weapons (pistols will really help).  However, as this is just a game, there won't be any established weapon requirements to play on any of the teams.

Q: Will players be able to bid on prizes with "blood money" similar to other Op Blood Money events?
A: Yes, there will be a limited number of prizes that can be won by capturing key props (Americans, drug shipments, money).

Early registration for OP: Blood Money will open at Gearbox Airsoft this weekend.  Admission is only $30 for those who prepay and sign up at Gearbox.

Additionally,  missions and resources will be provided to registered players once they have prepaid.  This means that the goals of each team will not be made public.  Information pertaining to a specific team will only be released to those who have signed up for the team.  This will allow for use of informants, bribes, and ambushes.

For example...

The Mexican military is required to protect a government compound that has the following resources:
Helicopter landing pad, an armory, and a contraband storage area.

The Oaxaca Cartel has a safe house where a meeting between the local leadership of the People's Revolutionary Army and the Oaxaca Cartel will take place.  There are narcotics and money at the safe house.

Example of a possible mission
Mexican Military - (1) Provide Security of Government Compound (2) Conduct Patrols of the town Salina Cruz
Oaxaca Cartel- (1) Secure safe house and protect Oaxaca cartel leadership during meeting
PRA- (1) Provide security for leadeship at meeting with Oaxaca Cartl (2)Attack and desroy any targets at the government compound.

During the first mission the only group with specific intel would be the cartel/PRA leaders who are attempting to hold a secret meeting.  The PRA leaders would also have to set up an attack team to strike the government center.  For security reasons, the cartel and PRA would provide this info to their team on a need to know basis as the Mexican military will undoubtedly be trying to bribe informants for the time and place of the meeting to stage their own raid.

As long as the Army doesn\'t know my motivation, they\'ll gladly call me a war hero.
