Where is the best place to find printable elevation maps? Google earth? Or map quest? Are there other sites that you might recommend?

Please let me know thanks.

how detailed do you want them?
how much area do you want them to cover?

i.e. if you're looking to print out topo maps of an AO, a county-wide map probably isn't going to do you much good.
And, do you just need them for something like just a general map for land-nav, or are you trying to have precision ability to remote-guide an RC plane? lol.

http://www.maricopa.gov/assessor/gis/map.html

These GIS maps are the shiznit...
Have all kinds of topo options on the left.  Also, will give you ownership info, tax info, plot borders etc.
Also has neat distance tool to measure distances in feet.

For example I've been out to a couple of 4 peaks games and they have a decent size map probably 10x10 that they fold up but covers the whole AO of 4 peaks. And yes just for simple navigation like marking points and sending people to them. Nothing to fancy
