field designs for airsoft players by airsoft players
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:47:52 AM »
We are looking for players input for the new field at FighterTown. We have a large parcel of land that we will be building field number 5. We would like your input and design for the field. Players will be able to walk the area the day of Gold War. Some ideas include trenches, helicopter's,and a fire base, but we need your input to make this field a success.

houseboats, spider holes,a round about around the helo, a main road that runs  snake through the field and buildings. alles and better urban build.etc

it wouldnt be cqb, but well rounded  for everything.

my idea* i dont know the area so i didnt bother  trying to scale to proper size, i just kinda eyeballed it.

buildings wouldnt be any higher than the ones in place now.
introducing a 2nd level of the field for snipers  with the boat houses.

this is the best parts of 3 different fields i went to over the summer  placed into the size of 1*

i didnt put any windows or  doorways in the build, that could be decided later.

KEY:
blue cones;  helo'
green buildings; boat house
blue building: only roofed structure; (garage or cafe)
purple: trenches

area around trenches would have move able cover  IE boxes  cars barrels  natural brush
orange; farm land/uneven ground  could also have trenches

cars on the side of the road in the more congested areas. and a box truck or 2 on the  open desert road.

Along with that I believe you should put some kind of airstrip.

Size dependent, have a MSR that runs through the field linking points of interest or simply passes across the field axially.  Ideally raised and graded, or with drainage on either side.

its a whole new issue with multilevel structures, they have to be leveled into the ground with crete and they cost alot more than the kill box open roofs, they also need to be structured to hold alot of weight and thats even more money.

thats why i say boat houses, they are multilevel and load bering.   and alot of scrap yards  will have atleast 1

also for those in charge of finding cheap wood and other parts; try asking shipping/ trucking companys if they have any crates they dont need .  in cali we got like 100 for free and mand hallways and proper cover, you could also take them apart and  salvage the woos for other parts, the ones we got were 7ft by 7ft.  and held weight  but still sketchy... no more than a light walk gets creaks

i think there definently needs to be sniper towers, but they should be placed in such a way to where they are not overpowered like; being able to have a m4 and see everyone, and hit everyone because the towers in the center; it needs to be like 2/3s of the way down so that its not overpowered.

Thank you everyone for your input. we will be starting construction on field #5 here very shortly. We will be offering a promotional free day of play for anyone who comes out and helps design/build it. Both PSC and Fighter Town are working hard to make all game play at Fighter Town better for the airsoft community. Stay tuned for updates on the promotional free play days.
