CB Radio?
« on: February 08, 2011, 06:11:16 PM »
I have a Motorola Talk About, 24 some channel and then the sub channels.

And my dad's CB Handheld Radio, i was wondering if my CB would be compatible with the cool high end actual radio's most people run? *ICOM's???*

Which would be a better one to have on a gearset?.

Thanks.

Do you run the CB handset currently on your Motorola?  If so the plugs are not the same for the ICOM.  Here is a list of plugs for your reference.  http://wildtalk.com/aboutradio/plug-compatability.htm

What you do mean "which one would be better on a gearset?"  Icom vs Motorola?  My vote is Icom for several reasons, which I have stated in another thread before. But ask yourself what do you want/expect out of your radio first.

We are on FRS channels, so unless your CB is on that as well we will not hear you.
