Gun Store Recommendations in Phoenix / Scottsdale
« on: August 02, 2011, 07:12:40 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm making my way out to Phoenix to visit my girlfriend's parents. She wants to buy her first handgun (Glock G36) and I was wondering where was a good place to go shopping? I'm not looking for the typical Turner's kind of store. But some place that has good deals and caters to the more "Tactical" Customers. Hopefully some place that also has duty belts in size 26", holsters and magazine holders.

Thanks!
Rocketboy

You do see what section this is in, don't you?  Last I checked, Ron wasn't selling firearms.

AZ firearms as well as Scottsdale Gun Club are great. I do not know if they hold the gun in stock that you are looking for. But they both have great service and pretty good buys. Both of these stores also have websites with their locations and some pricing. Hope this helped. Good luck.

I've had good luck with Bear mountain in mesa. The guys tend to be grumpy sometimes, but the prices on Guns are very decent. If you want a big selection, check out AJI sporting goods, Very nice selection and prices.
Ammo prices at both stores suck though, so dont go for ammo. In fact, I'm pretty sure Bear Mountain is AJI's supplier.

You can check out Bear Mountain online, and order the gun online, and they will ship it to the store in a couple days. I bought my wife a "pink Lady" for valentines day, and it arrived in about 3 days or so.

I buy all my firearms at Cabela's. Great place.

However it's down in Glendale. 91st Avenue and West Glendale Avenue to be exact.

Sportsman's Warehouse is closer if you're looking for places in Phoenix/Scottsdale.

Here's the address to the Sportsman's Warehouse: 19205 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ

They are reasonably priced and very professional as well; and I buy a great deal of merchanidse from them too. Mainly ammunition, but their selection of pistols are excellent. Picked up a S&W M&P.40 from them not too long ago.

Both retailers have excellent GLOCK selections; also carrying belt and holster of many brands.

Sportsman's Warehouse also has a decent selection, with a helpful staff.

Bear Arms is right down the way from the Scottsdale Gun Club, great service, decent prices.

US Autoweapons across from SGC.  Pistol Parlor in Mesa is good.

A great shop where I nabbed my .45 compact was Shooter's Vault on the corner of 32nd Street and Greenway Rd in PHX.
