Battery Connection Type
« on: April 26, 2013, 07:13:46 AM »
I recently purchased this aeg:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=10281

and wanted to upgrade the battery. I just wanted to check the battery connector type. Any idea what that might be for this particular aeg?

Thanks for any help guys.

Last time I checked, I believe it is a mini Tamiya.

I havet this gun and yes you are right. I would suggest changing it to deans when you get it. the connector it comes with sucks. I fried mine during a game...

Good luck!

It is a simple change out involving a bit of soldering, call APD they would be happy to help you out, most likely a low cost change out... There may be techs near you who might be interested in helping you out also... Good Luck My Friend :)

be carefull with ball bearings in gearboxes ive heared the can break loose under the shock of the gear box cycling just my 2 cents bushings wont last as long but rarly crack vs ballbearings 8mm ballbearings might be ok though last time i dealt with ball bearings and mech boxes all they had was 6mm 7 and 8 mm are new to me biggger balls and better tracks for the balls i assume less breakage during shock id assume

8mm bushings are generally the best, 6mm are scary, most 9mm aren't as good as they SHOULD be. Some 7mm are ok, but 8mm are definite the best. And if you are using solid bushings, all sizes are fine.
