If you buy HL2 over Steam, then you get to play CS:S next week [:)]

I have been playing CS Source Beta for the past couple weeks... it is just like CS, but with the HL2 engine. To play the beta, you need to own CS: Condition Zero. Now, does anyone know if I will still need to purchase HL2 to play CS Source, or can I just doewnload a patch for the beta just like with the original CS?

Also, I downloaded a massive 1.7gig .zip file from file planet that has all the official HL2 videos. I had seen most of the videos in the bunch, but there are some GREAT clips showing a train station and an apartment building. I am beyond blown away with how this game looks!

Although the box set for the game should be pretty cool (I would want the box with the chick on the front!), I will probably buy the game over Steam.

$70? That better be the collector's edition box. CS:S is supposed to be in the standard edition but that still sounds excessive.

That review is from PCG UK. I heard about it at planet half-life.

They are image scans of the PC Gamer review if you havent already read it...

Also, whos buying source next week? I wanna get a retail box myself...although, as I work for a cyber cafe Id imagine we would get the final version anyways and I could play it then and wait for the HL2 box...
