This has got to be the millionth time I've seen this, and I'm stumped every time. No matter how many times someone tells me the answer, I don't think I'll ever remember.

No thanks. Just thought it would be fun for those who had never seen it before (more fun than the first one). My Dad used to pull this one on me when I was a little kid and it stumped me every time...

Can I post the answer here? If nobody wants that, just let me know Joe and I'll PM the answer.

there are actually SEVERAL solutions. Sean told me his(which was mine also) and then i found another way....which is slightly bending the rules.

It's not that hard, and it's not bending the rules. You just have to think outside the box.

It is said that on the eve of battle, Dienekes was told that the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fired their volleys, the mass of arrows blocked out the sun. \"Good,\" Dienekes laughed, \"then we\'ll have our battle in the shade.\"

That's a pretty good hint...

If you don't have to draw through the center of the dots you can do it in three. [;)]

Hope is the first step down the road of disappointment.
Only the awkward question; only the foolish ask twice.

A Pictoral Puzzle (2)
« Reply #11 on: December 11, 2004, 09:34:44 PM »
Ok, since Paco is bored and since the last puzzle was kind of unfair here's one that's not nearly as difficult.

The rules: In the image below, without lifting your pencil, and using four (4) STRAIGHT lines, connect all of the dots. You may cross your own line as many times as you wish and you may cross over a dot as many times as you wish, but you can only use four straight lines.

Please don't spoil it for anyone and post a solution... Just have the satisfaction of knowing that you are at least of average intelligence. [;)]
