An MP5A5... Sort of...
« on: March 13, 2005, 10:45:45 PM »
I have the first two seasons of "The Shield" on DVD and I was watching them today and I noticed something a little strange in one scene.  The SWAT team gets called to extract some officers that are trapped in an apartment.  The officers took fire on their way in so the SWAT team got called just to be safe.  Well, that sounds good but it is kind of hard to return fire when your magazine is in backwards!!!

I realize that this is a cable TV show with little to do with reality but still, I thought that these shows hired people to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen.  Unless of course this is some sort of super-secret MP5 design that I've never seen before...

Here's from last week's 24 that I thought was funny:

Good thing the dumbass didn't have to shoot anything or he would have had a messed up wrist. He got killed this week anyway. ;)

Of course he got killed.  People are going to shoot where the light is.  And where does he put it?  Center of mass.

It wasn't that...Hes holding the light OVER his wrist, hence when the slide racks it's gonna break his friggin wrist. It should be under his right arm and to the right of the gun/hand.

It looks back far enough to where it would contact his hand..but its still cutting it close.  The hand with the light goes UNDER the hand with the pistol! Rick

Thats the way I was tought...Why not under? It stays out of the way and its supports the hand with the gun.

Ah c'mon Keyboard Warrior is such a cool title to be proud of.

As for the lights, a Glock with a M3 mounted is very nice.

No, seriously.  I don't think it's right for busta to place himself in the same category as those that are defending our freedom overseas.

I'm sure it was a joke, which is why I'm not that pissed about it.  It just needs to be changed.  I have a family member in Iraq right now, and don't think that kind of stuff is funny.
