NEW SURPLUS STORE IN MESA
« on: May 14, 2005, 05:19:37 PM »
Ok guys I think this will pass as an airsoft equip. special. There is a new Army Surplus store that just opened right down the street from me. This week was its grand opening, and i just got a Set of Desert Camo BDU's for $26.46. They are used but they are in remarkable condition. They are authentic issued BDU's. The sale on these will only last till the end of next week. If you buy one used BDU shirt for $17.95 you can get a used pair of BDU pants for $6.95 or visa versa. They have new digitals for $33 somthin and the tops i belive are $23 or $28. They also sale green gas there. Iam not sure what all things are on sale. The store is not as big as laradas but they are a little cheaper from the prices I compared.  The store is called Freedom Army surplus. It is on Main St. just past Gilbert Rd. on the right side of the Main St. It is in between two RV dealerships.  They have some GBB and GNBB for sale as well.  You might find something you have been looking for there. Thought i might let you all know that live near Mesa. Well hope I was of some sort of help. Well cya later, Jags87

Thanks for the heads-up, bro.

Seems like Mesa and S. Phoenix are the main Surplus areas.  I wish there was one closer to my neck of the woods!

I have yet to find one in scottsdale.  If there is one, everything would be really expensive.  Popular Outdoor used to sell M65 style jackets for $85, and boonies were $25 (the 100% cotton kind).   But they closed.

I don't want any vest that can be bought at a surplus store!

Well, I bought a ChiCom at USSC, but that's a different story.

Surplus stores are good for a few things only:
-550 cord
-MREs
-uniform items like used BDUs, DCUs, and fake ACUs. (no boots)

Wornick?

The MREs I've eaten in the Army are packaged by SOPACKO or something like that.

Larada's had some just like the ones I've had (from the same packaging company), but for some reason they were in a clear outer package rather than the tan one.  Maybe it's so you can see what's inside?
