Team training with FE *FE/BOS only training*
« on: July 05, 2005, 04:14:09 AM »
Looking toward Sunday 07-24-05 for a joint training with Fatal Exception where do you guys want to do this one, Missle Tank or Sasco would be good, though I have yet to visit the Florence CQB site....drop in your 2 cents and we shall figure it out over the next couple of weeks...

I would like to see it at either of the CQB sites as we could work on room clearing/entrance training as well as field manuevers.

Before you start planning your CQB OP's, you should probably see the buildings first, I think it will change your mind.  Florence is an extremely small AO (M79 G. was thinking of having an OP there until he saw the place).  Its great for small skirmishes (limited AO) but other than that its not that great.

Since we won't have a lot of game time before it gets hot, it should be decided to do specifically field or CQB.  Then next time do the other.  We won't have time to do both.

I would prefere a field op before CQB, we now have one sniper and might have two soon.  We have also done a ton of training at Sasco and I think doing some Missle Tank training might be in order, those are just my thoughts on it.  Wouldn't mind going back out to the Hind's Hill, but Andy pointed out to me that it would be heavy snake territory right now so that would be best saved for winter months.

I agree. Speaking as the overall Field Cmdr for FE, we need whatever we can get going. I'd prefer CQB, but field movement/cover works for me! Only 4 of us went thru the AA training a couple years ago, but Ogre's an X- Gee Eye. Time to spin the rest up on the practicals....
Pryde - lemme know if you want to run a few quick scenarios....

I will probably be running scenarios on the fly basing it around squad tactics if we do field, but we shall see as we get closer to the date....PM me your phone number and availability schedule and as we near the date maybe we can get together with Reaver and do some planning for the day.

Preacher is definetly clear on this practice, though he hasn't joined us officially I consider him honorary BOS for now, as for Chainsaw, let me check in with all the squad leaders and get an ok on that this weekend.

The only reason I vote for a field op is because CQB wont offer us much for squad based tactics, at least not as much as a field op will...
