Two stocks to replace the M93...

CTR – Compact/ Type Restricted Stock–
Basic stock used for compact applications such as shorty/PDW weapons and rifles for units that restrict removal of the buffer tube.

This stock features a unique locking mech that friction locks the stock to the buffer tube for zero movement but can be released just as easily as unlatching a normal CAR type stock. The CTR includes improved cheekweld area, integrated QD sling mount and rubber butt pad.

Molds are open for the CTR and first runs from the mold should be ready by Mid-January and we will have quantity in stock by Shot Show.

Retail Price will be around $95 without buffer tube. Here are some pics of the prototype.

UBR – Universal Battle Rifle Stock –
A robust multi position stock that can be used as a heavy duty collapsible field stock and a limited use precision stock. Designed to be adapted to other platforms other than the M16/M4/AR15 series.

This stock is designed to be the M93 replacement. The design for the mechanism is complete and we starting on the styling of the body unit right now. No pictures yet as everything is still fluid.

This stock will have a simple, mechanical recoil management system (primarly used for shotgun or 308 units).

We should have a limited number of working prototypes ready for the Shot Show and production should be around end of April.

The CTR stock (What a weird name) looks kinda cool.  Like a mini crane stock, sorta.

The "recoil management" function of the UBR Stock sounds pretty cool, too.

Coming from Magpul, you know its going to be good.

I spoke to my Magpul rep and he said that, realistically, we're looking around Mid-March before they have the CTR in stock. The other stuff later than that.

We should have a couple of prototypes of this design at the Shot Show.

The UBR fills the gap between the CTR and the PRS stocks.

Things might change as the design gets futher along but it will look something like this.

It uses an A1 design tube shortened to carbine length, so should be as easy as an A2 stock to install. Lock and grooves are both Aluminum. Presets are metal also. Stock should lock up as solid as a fixed stock.

Intergal rubber butt pad, 3 point/single point QD sling mounts. Removable storage options.

Movable and removable cheek weld option.

More details when I get the chance.

Those sling attach points are cool, and I really like the fact that it locks up as tight as the M93.

I'm sure you'll make it a point to check these out at SHOT, fellas!

As I figured, production usually takes longer than they anticipate.

For the CTR stock, there will be two versions, the one that will fit Mil-Spec tubes (Colt, Vltor and a couple others) and those that fit non-mil-spec tubes (RRA, DPMS, and the rest).  The non-mil-spec will fit mil-spec tubes, but be a little loose. The Mil-Spec will NOT fit non-mil-spec tubes, as the tubes are a few thousandths larger.

I have mostly the non-mil-spec version on order and hope to get them in a couple week.

The UBR stock is their replacement for the M93 stock.  Therefore, the price of the M93 will drop somewhat (not a lot) as the UBR production increases to where dealers can get them.  It's a nice stock, but I think I like the CTR better.  And the CTR is much less expensive.
