The arboretum is about 95 miles from Tucson.

Everyone might want to wear some sturdy footwear. There is some cactus, mostly prickly pear, but a little cholla too. Old desert hiker trick is to bring along a small pocket comb. It comes in real handy to remove cholla balls from clothing, just put it between the cactus and your clothes, and flick the stuff away.

Anyone think on game day i can meet someone before heading to the AO so i don't get lost?  I live in Glendale, and if anyone needs a ride, i can give one if it's on the way, or close....

Hey Romes...
How far would you say this AO is from Phoenix?

Its a lot closer than Tucson, and maybe even closer than Florence gamesite.

It's just about the same mileage from anywhere in the Valley as the Florence AO, and Freeway/Highway 99.5% of the way.

Thanks guys, but I've never been to the Florence AO and relatively new to AZ.  Will someone for the love of god just give me a time estimate from central Phoenix?
