Don't MOLLE vests usually go for considerably more? Is this just a cheap knock-off? They say it is "Mil-spec," does that mean anything with regard to the manufacture of the vest?

Accessories & Gear / actual capacity of star mags?

Hey guys, I ordered a couple Star mags that just arrived today and was wondering if they ever really hold the full 30 rounds as advertised? I've tried loading them a few times and only manage to get about 25 in before I feel like I'm going to break something.
On a complete tangential rant, I'm a bit ticked off at AirSplat, the place I ordered these from, because they somehow sent me M4 mags instead of the MP5 mags I ordered and because their customer service so far consists of a lot of form e-mails. Apparently sending me the wrong product is a "technical support" issue, rather than the domain of sales (whom one would think deals with orders) so my e-mail to sales was answered by a form mail saying it had been forwarded to tech support. Further, this issue is evidently too complex for their phone jockeys to deal with, so upon calling I was told that I should send them an e-mail. Brilliant.

Introduce Yourself! / salutations and so forth

Hello everyone! My name's Mike and I'm a student at ASU (originally from the east coast), studying theatre and history, and I'm looking to get into airsoft. My little brother has been getting interested through his friends and, although I'd heard of it before, this is the first time I've been spurred to check it out in earnest. I've done some reading here on the forums and been checking out photos and videos online and they've gotten me really excited to get some gear and try it out for myself.
Because I'm a poor, poor student, I'm planning to just get an el cheapo spring pistol off of Amazon for starters (like this one), just to have a go and see if I actually like playing and want to sink some money into it. Once I get that and the other gear I need, hopefully I can come along to an event and have some fun being cannon fodder for a little while. I'll be a sorry sight with my lack of armament, and the team that gets saddled with me might hate me, but you seem like a cool bunch and I'm really looking forward to meeting y'all and trying out the game.
